This position is responsible for the first line support to the mission-critical application and production system. The person should be well versed in Linux shell scripts and SQL statements to generate reports and manage batch jobs. Overnight standby duty is required to support both on-line and batch environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar credential.
• Experience in SQL and Linux shell script.
• Knowledge in computer operations is a must.
• Fresh graduate also consider.

Job Specifications:

• Manage and control the schedule of routine cronjobs and ad-hoc batch jobs.
• First line support to the on-line application system and overnight batch jobs. And conduct investigation to application/message failure.
• Monitor performance of XML transactions and handle failure messages.
• Perform data archive and retrieval, and job submission.
• Conduct application release in a control environment.
• Prepare and maintain procedures for newly release applications and associated operations instructions.
• Monitoring application performance and generating application performance reports.
• Writing associated Linux shell scripts and SQL statements to generate reports.
• It is expected that there will be ad hoc out of hours work required to handle system cutovers and critical applications/batch problems.

LAN Engineer

Reporting to the Manager - LAN Services, this position is responsible for the support and maintenance of computer network and office automation to the internal users including reside in head office and branch offices. The key responsible area covers the overall Local Area Network support, system implementation, system maintenance and administration. Overnight and standby duty is required to support both on-line and batch processing environment as well as to handle network and systems changes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provision of technical support to Tradelink internal users and related services.
• Responsible for daily operation on all aspects of support, maintenance issues and LAN rooms environment.
• Conduct product evaluation and recommend the best solution for Tradelink.
• Perform administration and support tasks on network security on LAN infrastructure.
• System administration and support in Microsoft Windows, Linux systems, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Handle incident and need to work on call basis.

Job Specifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar credential.
• At least 1 years working experience in similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge in PC support.
• MS Exchange/O365 support experience.
• Knowledgeable in Linux/Windows system administration & hardware integration is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in Fortigate firewall and/or H3C switches is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in Backup software is an advantage.
• Holder of Microsoft Certified and/or CCNA is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good inter-personal skills and able to work independently.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Systems Support Engineer

Information Technology

Reporting to Vice President, Production Operations and Technical Support, this position is to provide on-going management & support of the 7x24 production systems, including the GETS platform, the commercial services application platform and the associated telecommunication network. This covers the various infrastructure components, e.g. UNIX servers, routers, firewall, SAN storage, and related application software packages.

Frequent communication and coordination with outsourced service providers is expected. Ad hoc after office hour work would be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To provide support and management for all system and network infrastructure components. This includes UNIX system administration, hardware setup and configuration, performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• To provide software support to end-users thru problem identification and resolution, escalation of problem to senior management and the system vendors, also to conduct software upgrades and implementations.
• To support the telecommunications network for current and future requirements so that a reliable service is provided to our clients to meet the required performance levels.
• To evaluate and recommend new technology items those are applicable to the company, and incorporate as appropriate in the technology forward plan.
• To provide 7x24 2nd levels support to our facility services providers on related technical matters.

Job duties:

• Degree in computer Engineering, information Technology, computer science, or similar credential, preferred with IT security related certificates, such as CISSP, CISA.
• Minimum 5 years solid experience of UNIX and SAN infrastructure administration and experience on performance monitoring and tuning.
• Preferably with hands-on experience on system and network security – firewall, intrusion detection system, and data encryption products.
• Knowledge in Web and internet technologies, and experience in web application development and programming are added advantages.
• Project management experience can be bonus.
• Stable, proactive, good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skill, able to work independently and under pressure.
