New business opportunities powered by government-endorsed digital identity services and associated remote signing services
|
Our unique personal and corporate digital identity services, backed by digital certificates*, are gaining traction in the market.
On the personal front, we have partnered with an internationally renowned digital document management service provider to integrate our digital identity service on its platform, allowing individuals to conduct secure and legally-binding digital document signing. We also developed a turnkey digital onboarding service using our digital identity solution and service to comply with the latest regulatory requirements for securities brokers operating in Hong Kong. Both solutions are scheduled for launch in early 2025.
On the corporate front, our digital identity service, supported by a new type of organisational digital certificate, enables both local and overseas corporates to carry out digital transactions under the law of Hong Kong. This service aligns seamlessly with the government's Corporate Identity (CorpID) initiative. We believe our work has the potential to significantly advance the CorpID initiative, assisting the government in creating a secure and efficient digital environment for the benefits of all stakeholders.
*Recognized certificates used for the services are issued by Digi-Sign, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tradelink and the only commercial Recognized Certification Authority under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (ETO) (Cap 553) in Hong Kong.

Growing demand and opportunities for cybersecurity solutions amid the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Bill |
With the continuous emergence of new cybersecurity threats and the government's publication of the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Bill ("Bill") towards the end of 2024, we are optimistic about the ongoing demand for our identity management and cybersecurity solutions.
According to the Bill, operators of Critical infrastructures ("CIs") are required to implement appropriate measures to protect their computer systems and minimise the risk of essential services being disrupted or compromised due to cyberattacks. These CIs cover eight major sectors, including Energy; Information Technology; Banking and Financial Services; Land Transport; Air Transport; Maritime Transport; Healthcare Services; and Telecommunications and Broadcasting Services. We will leverage the opportunity to help relevant customers meet statutory requirements and enhance business security with our relevant domain knowledge and service/solution offerings.

Professional business consultation and fast deployment of integrated WMS solution for a DCP Customer |
Leveraging our solid experience as a trusted Government Electronic Trading Services provider and extensive domain knowledge in trade and logistics, we successfully deployed a Dutiable Commodity Permit (DCP)-integrated Warehouse Management System (WMS) for a DCP customer engaged in the trading of tobacco and related products.
Through professional business consultation, we helped our client reengineer and implement a seamless DCP operation integrated with our WMS to enhance accuracy and efficiency while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory requirements. Integrated with our DCP service, our WMS enables automatic transfer of goods' information required for DCP application to help our client significantly reduce DCP application handling time, thus driving order processing efficiency to meet business growth.
The entire project, from business consultation, solution development, to deployment, was completed smoothly in just around six months. The project highlights our capability to deliver tailored and efficient solutions that address the unique challenges of managing dutiable commodities and will serve as a solid success story for us to actively promote and replicate the solution to other DCP customers.
