WMS solution for Dutiable Commodities Permit ("DCP") customers facilitating the management of highly regulated dutiable goods
|
Leveraging our dominant position in the DCP market under Government Electronic Trading Services ("GETS"), our Supply Chain Solutions Business team is pleased to have signed up two new customers involved in the trade of dutiable commodities using our Warehouse Management System ("WMS") to facilitate the management of highly regulated dutiable goods.
The clients will use our WMS in conjunction with our DCP services to manage the operation of their cigar/tobacco warehouses where the flow is highly controlled and regulated under the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance of the Laws of Hong Kong. Integrated with our DCP services, our WMS will receive DCP application status updates from the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department in real-time, such as reminder to submit document, permit approval. Such integration facilitates the inbound/outbound management of dutiable goods and thus improving the overall operational efficiency of the warehouse while in compliance of the relevant regulations.
We will continue to look for opportunities in expanding the applications of our WMS solution. If required, we will also work with hardware vendor partners to provide automated warehousing solutions with automated hardware equipment that integrates with our WMS to meet the operational needs of our customers.

Identity Management Business developed upgraded electronic Know-Your-Customer ("eKYC") Solution and anti-location spoofing solution |
To address the evolving security risks and technology trends, our Identity Management Business has developed an upgraded eKYC solution for digital onboarding and a new anti-location spoofing solution following extensive research and development work.
For the upgraded eKYC solution, we have added an angle-free capturing feature which allows users to capture and verify identity document in such a way that can avoid glare and shadows for easier capturing, thus enhancing user experience and optical character recognition accuracy. As for the anti-location spoofing solution, our solution is able to detect location frauds through cross-checking location information between multiple sources such as GPS, IP address and cellular network.
We already have a number of potential customers who found their existing solution inadequate and expressed interests in our upgraded eKYC solution. As for the anti-location spoofing solution, we have also begun close dialogues with relevant regulatory bodies to introduce our solution and work with them to raise market awareness of the associated security risks.
